Dont know to be exact, waiting on an email back to find out if its been declared or not. Doesnt sound worth repairing if it is though. Could still make a profit on splitting though.

it will show up on a HPI check if it is declared and if its a cat c then you have to get it put through a check that will cost you, bit of a test really like an mot but worse!

so is it a chassis leg that needs pulling or what?

so for 400 quid, you get 2 engines, an interior, brakes, suspension, 8 wheels, an aftermarket exhaust worth what? 200 quid? and you're not sure?

its not that, its the fact i dont have a garage, dont have the space on the drive, have fussy rents.. etc etc

What does it mean to be declared? Who it be declared with? and why is only worth the hassle if it hasnt been declared?

Butler

well the car is 400 quid, repaired will be worth about 1500. il post pics.

Graeme

depending on the price you buy it for then it may be worth it but unless u have the kit yourself or are going to keep the car then genrally its not worth it on car that are worth bellow £20k!

it would roughly be about 3-5 hours worth of work so expect to pay around £200-£500 for the jig work!

Butler

Well the idea is to make a profit on selling it on, either that or break it for parts.

Kyle T

Is it really worth it for the sake of a little hatchback probably worth £200?

Can you not find one thats not fucked?

Im considering investing in a damaged old rallye. Its taken a rear shunt and apparently will need to be jigged. The boot floor could possibly be crumpled although I am unsure. Just wondering what the general cost of jig work would be and what work and costs would be involved in repairing the damaged shell?
