I agree that bigger discs will disperse heat better and reduce fade but its not all about the size of the disc, its also the size of the caliper. I had 256 on mine with 170bhp and they were fine but I also spent money on getting good pads (mintex 1144's) and never had them fade. Now I have 310mm 4 pots and they stop very well, never even a hint of brake fade but the corsa master cylinder isnt anywhere good enough to cope with them. to be honest, for everyday driving I prefered the 256 set up over the 4 pots.
