Originally posted by Teddy Dave from V-Tuning as some of you know has been rebuliding a Lotus Carlton to an awesome standard.... Ill let Dave take the story from here :) As some of you know i've spent nearly the last three years restoring my Lotus Carlton (build number 890G). Well I can at last say that its passed the MOT, has tax and is pretty much road legal. Its certainly been hard work not helped by loosing the engine and all the running gear last year in a workshop fire. Anyhow here's some quick pics for ya to have a gander at but the plan is to be at PV so to do the car justice you'll really need to see it in the flesh. I'm soooooo happy with the way its turned out and all the hard work has certainly paid off. :D :D The first two pics show the engine bay and underneith when I first bought the car to give you an idea of what I had to start with. The outside was pretty good tbh (for an LC anyway) so no point in putting pics of that. WHEN FIRST BOUGHT THREE YEARS AGO Then the shell went down to this while it was at the bodyshop having some serious surgery BODYSHOP PROGRESS The engine also got a full rebuild so heres a pic of it just before it got dropped in the hole as it were. You can kind of get an idea how gutted I was to loose the first one which looked very similar to this. HERE SHE IS And here we go, these pics show the car as it stands at the moment, paintwork is truly awesome btw I have shed loads more pics with far more detail of pretty much the whole project and these i'm putting together on a dedicated website so once the site has all these on i'll post up the URL which will explain a lot lot more. However in the meantime hope you like and see you at PV (all going well) :D [Edited on 24-05-2006 by Teddy]
