A Corsa with suspension componant excessively corroded? Thats ridiculous, you boys need to get yourselves a Nova, they don't rust at all :)

Build up a reputation with a local garage you can trust, I wouldn't bother taking your car back to that place.

All them failures are nothing major, just get the welding sorted and any decent garage will sort you out a fair price for the rest of the work

Insecure headlamp will be the clip thing that is in the body of the car, they always break off.

if after adjusting ure headlights are still to high, re drill the hole in which u mount them to be higher so they tilt down more... MOT'er told me that trick and worked a charm

the insecure headlight is best solved with a new one. i had the same problem on mine, and in the end, after trying to bodge it, i had to buy a new one

Properly you would use the gizmo that MOT testers use, usually the tester adjusts the beam while they are doing the test if it is out of adjustment so its one less job to sort. Obviously your tester isnt so helpful.

I had those bits come up on my MOT. Headlight beam didn't cost anything to adjust. Handbrake cables including fitting cost about £80 (this was at a Vauxhall garage though)

Headlamp adjustment is all free, handbrake cables are about £25-30 for both pieces. Major concern is the welding really, the rest is pretty straight forward.
