Can you put a picture up of the test wheel when its done? I'd be interested to see what it looks like :)

The engine bay looks quality. I've got a spare speedline so i'll use that as a test. Cheers for the pics.

No pics of wheels but this what jamesw's engine looks like in shadow chrome

Had a photoshop done of my wheels in shadow chrome

I think it comes out quite shiney when the sun shines on it

ok, don't suppose you've got any pics of wheels finshed in the "shadow chrome"?

mwg

I spoke to someone about it and they said it wouldn't be that hard to get a good match

O ok, well i'll ask the sprayer if he's ever used the stuff before?? Not really wanting all my wheels to be different shades. lol

I asked jamesw where he got it and how it was done as his engine is shadow chrome. This is what he said

'local paint place, is 2 stage, base coat of super high gloss black, leave 24hrs, very thin coat of the chrome stuff, pretty hard to get more than 1 item to come out exact same colour due to it makes so much difference how much paint you put on'

:)

The colour has a lot more of a deep shine when you see it in real life. Just not very good with a camera. Even tho i like the Anthracite finish, i just don't think it looks a clean finish. Shadow chrome could be a possibilty, do you know how it's done?

for the wheels that is

mwg

Its nice. I like the colour.

Howabout Anthracite or Shadow Chrome rather than black?

C2VXL

Yeh its a GSi, however it's not a 1.6. Was thinking of the newer badges as they have a chrome finish and may look cleaner. It's an Evo 7 blue "french blue"

No badges looks cleaner, I'd have taken the boot lock off too for ultra smooth look.

Is that at Atlantis Blue? Looks like M Suttons

black wheels, dont put a gsi badge on it, would look wrong IMO, even tho it is a gsi (i assume?) it would look odd as its not a gsi colour! put new style vauxhall badges on it in the standard places wit hthe 1.6 16v one on it too.... sprayed black as robin said.

new style lettering on the back, but sprayed gloss black, and GSi badge on the front, maybe black again

Just finshing up various bits and pieces on my car. Unsure if certain ideas would look ok.

First of all, i am thinking about putting the new style badges on the boot that read "vauxhall" and "corsa" (finished in chrome) however another option would be to leave the boot plain or even put the original GSi badges back on.What do you's think?

Same with the front, thinking about the badge back on the front bumper?

finally, the wheels. I'm unsure if i should have them re-done in a gloss black. The little trims around the car that came from the factory black have been painted a gloss black just to make it look clean and keep the standard look. I'm aware the black wheel thing has been done over and over but don't really see the silver suiting the car?

Any opinions etc would help...

Thanks

Owen.

Please excuse the size of pics if they turn out large.
