how is it differen to driving with stereo tuend right up??? if i can hold a conversation with somebody in the car using the same headphones / handfree then surely there is no problem?? Iv often been a passanger in a car were I havent been able to hold a conversation over the stereo! (in my younger days)

as i say usualy use 1 for taliking on phone etc for some reason i had both in!! for the record though the only reason I didnt hear the grinding at first was because of noise of the car!! had I been driving slower i would have heard it even with headphones in.

Coming home from work tonight (it was dark) seen loads of spark up the off side of the car, pulled my backed off the throttle pulled my headphones out heard a grinding noise and started to feel loads of bad feedback through the steering wheel.

Pulled up thinking hub carrier or something must have sheered but couldn’t see anything in the dark,

called the AA and after them jacking it up and carrying out a few investigations the very nice patrol man quickly diagnosed that my break calliper had come loose at the top!!:!:!

Perhaps that why my breaks have been a bit ropey :boggle: ??

Seriously though could have been a lot worse could have locked the wheel up and shafted the wheel and put me in the bush!! (was going about 60 down a country lane)
