anyone know average prices for this or polished?
You can't chrome dip aluminium. It would melt. You have to electroplate it which involves copper plating and then nickel plating which is them polished to give the wheels a chrome effect.

you get them re-heated / re-shaped / re-welded... not best but it does get done.
Kickstart in Manchester want roughly £100 then I would need the tyre also, so looks like I mat as well find a wheel and tyre deal on ebay and sell the other alloys inc damaged one and keep the tyres which had lots of tread left on them.

You do know that a new alloy on it's own ranges between roughly £100 and £200 depending on size don't you. If a wheel has been cracked it's done it's job. It has absorbed impact, broken and prevented chassis damage or injury to the driver.... What is peoples obsession with re-using crap?
