A lad up our way did it to a Nova with an XE. He totally stripped it out, so it weighed feck all. Put an F13 on it, and away he went!

He would be in 4th gear before the end of the road!

Think it lasted a week LOL

yeah as tim says, you can do it.

there is an xe out in west cumbria runs an f13 gearbox in a nova. aparantly, drill new holes for the flywheel to bolt to the crank and thats it, or so i was told.

i wouldnt bother with it, the number after the f is lb/ft of tourque its rated to, so an f13 takes 130lb/ft, and ther let is 200lb/ft std. doh.

but it can be done

You can make a small block gearbox fit a large block engine :P

I can only think of 3 options for a LET, F20, F28, or F25 if feeling adventerous ;)

With the gearbox out, he's goingto be advised to change the clutch lol make that 40,000 plus VAT

F20 are only £50
plus the blokes labour and if he works at vauxhall with be about a total price of £20,000 plus VAT

Maybe because it's cheaper to buy the LET without the F28. Then instead of scourcing a F28 he's puton a really cheap alternative (F13) it's a possibilty but i'm not sure the F13 fits.

may have got the engine without the box, as people who brake cars can get £300 just for the box PLUS is about a extra £300 for for parts so it will fit.
People want the cheaper option like F20...

£600 for F28 and fitting parts
£50 for a F20

Will not be a F13 aswell as would not fit ;)

Was just down Vauxhall getting my waterpump pressure tested. Guy doing the test shows me a C20LET with a fooked gearbox in a Carabic Blue Corsa Gsi. Showed me the teeth - sheared to feck. So i ask him what power must it be running to destroy an F28. 'It aint an F28 mate....reckon its an F13...'.

Bloke that owns it doesnt know yet so he's going to get a shock in the morning when he gets the phonecall....

So why fit a C20LET and not the F28 that comes with it??? :boggle:
