Don't you have a jam jar full of springs in your garage? I thought everyone had one of them

Just use a rubber band for now and take it to a hardware store and buy another one, or go to a fastenings shop and get one there... Try get a stainless steel one though ;)

they the nova tech throttle bodies? if so other companies wont be able to help the spring set up is different, any enginering firm will be able to get you one, bit odd that nova tech didn't help you out tho

looks like a spring you may find on a rear disc brake set-up, we got a tub at work with loads of springs like that mainly from rear brake set-ups

I had a look at Matt B's setup & it was differant to mine :(

The car still runs without it but it errr...well, how can I put it...... revs "fairly easily" ( :o ) even with the slightest touch of the throttle

those ones are usually twice the size of that spring though.

we through out a box of springs a while back at work. they didn't seem to have any uses, but probably would have been ideal for that.

ring sbd, v-tuning, qed, jenvey etc.
any of those should be able to help you out.

even a strong rubber band would do a temporary job i reckon.

I hate people who are unhelpfull

Rang up the company who make my throttle bodies today to try & get replacement springs for them (they snapped). Had to ring them again & again to even get them to find out for me how much it would cost & eventually they said they dont do them anymore. They reccomended that any local enginering place should have them. But they are an enginering place so why dont they have them? :boggle: :|

So now I've gotta fix my cv joint & then drive round to all the local enginering places to try & find a spring that fits :|

Here's a pic of the spring just on the off chance that someone has any spares knocking about

**Rant over**

Pics of what the snapped spring looks like:
