On some speedo dials there is a k = then a number and on others w = and a number. I got told one of the letters mean it was electric and the other one meant it was cable. Although I dont know how true that is or which way round it is!

cable driven have a lump sticking out of the back of the speedo where the cable connects, leccy don't.

Also, I *think* electric clocks go from 0mph, cable ones from 10mph.

Got a set of 1.4 16v clocks out of a 1997 Sport.

Was just wondering how can you tell between cable driven and electric driven?

cheers in advance
