just to give an update.... it was the fuel pump. . new pump was put in today and the car is alot better than before. | |

meant to add, my lights etc would work fine but the ignition would just click when trying to start. | |

if the alternator went, the battery wouldbt be being charged, so your radio/heaters/lights etc would drain it, and eventually it'd cut out, and then wouldnt restart. | |

When you turn the ignition on and try to start the engine, is it trying to crank or is it just dead? | |

... my bro was reversing and suddenly the engine cut out and didn't want to start again. (half tank of fuel) |
