probably not....

there are sometimes settings to chuck more fuel in at certain rpms, which is crude but effective providing the engine needs that fuel at that given point.

Yeah I suppose :)

But a lot of Pugs/citroens have the standard ECU's remapped for decent results and surely they dont posess the forefront of engine management technology.

depends on what car you drive dude

My mates MR2 turbo has a seriously clever bit of ECU as standard, but then again those engines were hand built by yamaha and are not your average vauxhall production rubbish

emerald does seem very good for the money!

but before you buy new management check you have somewhere local to do the mapping...

Full mappable management lets you basically control everything on the engine, and is a must have for tbs. You are looking at around £600 plus mapping for one, whereas piggyback chips can be around £100. Check out emerald, omex and DTA if you are interested. I personally went for emerald, link here...

yea you will want some kind of mapable engine management to make the most (well, to make anything at all really) from throttle bodies.

A programmed chip as you call it, is next to useless on a normall aspirated car.

what is the difference between full managment and just a reprogrammed chip?

how they work, price wise etc

you would need full managment for throttle boddies? correct?
