if you can stretch to 2.5k then looking at the new panasonics, pretty bloody good for the cash, picture is nice and sharp, colours and great and anti-aliasing isnt as much as an issue like it used to be on the old panasonics :)

just make sure what ever screen you get, the resolution is in its 1200's mark or higher. Also, take an ani film with you when viewing - like i said, anti-aliasing is a big problem on plasmas and lcds.

also mate, do a search, plenty of threads about this and essay answers by me

Just wait another year until LCD has caught up with CRT, then buy.

The only reason i'm buying a new TV is the rear projection i've got has the big base unit which the missus wants rid of. I dont want to be spending 4-5k on a TV only looking at spending 2k really, just wanna know what to look for

Not to struck on the picture quality off the large LCD so plasma it is

What features/spec should I be looking at in a Plasma TV? Dont want out of this world picture and sound quality, as long as it will be as good as my rear projection that will do:D

Cheers
