muppetsport - is the interface slow at all? I've heard the Kenwood one takes like 3 seconds scrolling to the next album/artist...

I just bought myself a JVC headunit on eBay lol, has a front aux in though which I wanted, now I need to think about mounting the iPod - will probably just go for a vent-mount. Can add a charger to it if I feel I need to once I get a cig lighter fitted. :)

This is my headunit http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3823&cadid=f7f6eda5e9d0cd5830a3bb050f4a3e1d, thats a bargain price for what you get and car audio direct are top quality. The ipod interface is only another 50 or so and well worth it :)

Or fit a cig lighter

That's what I'm planning. :)

Many headunits now have ipod adaptors which connect through the CD changer input anyway.

There's also this Kenwood system I have my eye on but apparently the interface is quite slow...

Anyone got the CarDock thing? Might get that as it charges the ipod too but don't know if it'll fit in ok.
