i have tried the turning in a circle trick but it does get any worse, the speeds under 15 mph you dont get the noise at all.

The reason im asking is that i dont wanna replace something that might be fine.

cv joint
its on the driveshaft
it wears out
normally faster when a bigger engine or higher power is put throu them

matt, do a fast hard launch, if it is the cv it will pop and then you will know for sure

Try turning at full lock slowly in a car park -- CV joint noise would be made worse and also will tell you which one (based on direction you're turning).

Try dipping the clutch as your going along

Mine stopped when I dipped the clutch but when I was "in gear" it started clunking etc

Would a cd joint make like a clicking noise when the car is in motion and get the click get faster as the car speeds up and slower as the car slows down?

PS: by the way the noise soundz like the speedo cable when its on its way out, but i have taken out the clocks still get the noise, removed the speedo cable still get the noise. i had it on axel stands and didnt get the noise, its only then the car is on the road.
