yes starter motor will turn the engine over, it gets the oil around the engine since it will be bone dry after being stood without being started | |

right the corsa starter loom is conected to the alt and starter motor, but were else does it go?? my mate who put it on said it goes to the other loom, but i was under the impression it goes into the bulkhead on the passangers side?? and then conects to somthing?? | |

yeh.. theres probably wires coming off them... but is the starter loom which ever one it is... connected to the corsa body loom( the one that comes out of the bulkhead)? | |

no the new mechanice said he's looked at the starter and alt and there wired up, he dont know if its with the corsa loom, i told him it cant be coz the corsa starter loom is in my other mechinc garage lol. so it has to be the corsa starter loom or it will NOT start at all?? | |

wtf... your mechanic talking shit.... the engine will not turn over without that loom.... i know this cos the big plug in that pic above came undone before on me... as soon as i tunred the car off it wouldlt even turn over which meant i had to walk home...:| | |

i aint used any, i aint been upto my car. but i'm 99% sure non one has put the corsa starter loom on, but this fella recons the alt and starter motor is wired up. :boggle: | |

if it dont turn over then id be 90% sure its the loom we talked about in the other thread (starter loom) | |

well i've had a bit of a problem with getting it done, the car was in my mates yard for 13weeks, and he never finished it, been in this new garage now and he cant find the icv plug on the loom at all it aint there. anyway this new fella aint wired the alt or starter as it was already done, dunno who done it tho, my mate never and i never lol. does this need to be done with the corsa bit of the loom? | |

when the key is put in, the lights come on, the fuel pumps are running, but nothin, the icv aint conected up as them plugs are not on the loom anywere :o |
