ok just been checking the engine over, and the coolant could definately do with a change! is just a thick brown sludge, and a lot of the breather pipes are bunged up too, will phone the garage and get them to do it for nothing, since i havent even had it that long.

the Coons in OZ arent clever enough to open a glovebox :|

Could be a number of things mate, start with the cheapest to sort (airlock) then move on to head gasket then as a last resort try the matrix :|

fuck you

Im hoping its the heater matrix, since it is rarely used and we been having some real chilly nights so been using the heater in the morning.
Will go and check the pressure in the header tank now, and oil is still lovely and golden, no white muck on dipstick or on oil filler cap.
Vegasphil, we havent had rain in months mate
Thanks for the help guys, apart from colin

had this before and it was an airlock

try opening the header tank cap and running the car untill the fan kicks in or the water overflows this should get rid of any airlocks in the system (careful not to burn your hands when putting the cap back on)

Are your heaters functioning correctly? I had a problem with a split rain tray on my car, Was causing me all sorts of hassle as water was coming in a 4 inch split directly above the pollen filter. Water then ran down and gathered in the Fan. When the engine was started it sounded like running water. Got any puddles?

A way of finding out whether it is, is to leave your car over night and in the morning unscrew the water expansion bottle. If it still has lots of pressure its more than likely the head gasket :(

Are you loosing any water? gunk in the oil?

When my head gasket went everytime I started the car up in the morning it used to make the water trickling noise behind the dash.

If you can get a compression test done.

I read a while a go it could be as simple as an airlock.

Let us know what it is
