Yes I think the two most feasable options are the Astra GSi and the Leon

Seat Leon Cupra R - Look the bollocks, especially in graphite colour. Possibly has turbo flat spot.

Golf GTI mk4 - All pretty gutless from a big heavy car. 1.8T suffers turbo lags and when it finally comes in its unexpected.

Impreza is going to be expensive - 20mpg, oil change every 6 months/7500m at a cost of £120. Major service at 60k will cost £600. Grin inducing drive though.

Astra GSi mk 4 - Smart looking, look very nice in "that blue" colour.

Astra Cabrio Turbo - Look abit poncy imo, doesnt have same sporty status as GSi. GSi looks better.

Clio 172/182 - Clio Cup is a really fun car and very capable. 182 isnt any quicker. Interior bit crap though.

Audi A3 - Same reason as Golf

Some sort of BMW - E36 328, very nice and smooth drive. Typically german inside which isnt a bad thing. Go forever.

wouldnt bother with a cupra r.

cousin bought a brand new one for god knows how many k. left it outside his girlfriends house and while they were asleep they nicked 2 of his wheels, broke into the inside and damaged/nicked lots from inside.

the car was brand new and the alarm didnt even go off. :|

I'm trying to decide what car to save towards to buy in a years time, so remember that even though some cars might not be in my price range now, they might be in a years time.

Right heres the requirements for any other suggestions:

- Has to be less than £9k (Preferably less than £7.5k)

- Has to be insurable at 21 with 2 Years no claims with a good postcode

- Nothing thats gunna cost an absolute fortune to run
