* Change the inletmanifold
- Mantzel Powerbox
- Dbillas flowtec
- Lexmail RAM

* Change the cams?
- dbillas
- lexmaul
- kentcams
- dr shrick
- etc :)

* Change the airfilter
- GREEN Twister
- Pipercross viper inductionkit
- or just a K&N or other filter

* Change the exhaust manifold
- supersprint 421
- lexmaul 421
i would not go for a 4-1 manifold..

* Change the exhaust
- Completely supersprint
- Or any other brand

* Change the feulpressure
- Powerboostvalve
- Fuel presure regulator
- bigger injectors

* Remap the ECU
- extend revlimit
- change mixture
I'd recommend this as the final step! It costs a fortune to remap the ECU at each little change u do to the engine

I'm going to be tuning my next X16XE for the GSi ;)

Why not put an XE in it. 150bhp as standard and cheaper than trying to tune the 1.6 to that sort of power!

I'm sure coming from a 1.2 you'll be pleased enough with 109 bhp first of all!!

inlet
induction (viper is ok, but loose the cold air feed pipe)
de-cat
chip

thanks mate, s worth getting the inltet done and the unichip and the viper induction kit, also get a de-cat exhaust, im i going to be looking at around 130bhp for that then??

wayne :)

PaulW

inlet - 15-25bhp
unichip - depends on engine mods you ave done... anything from 0bhp to ???bhp
exhaust fanimold - 1-4+bhp depending on other mods...

you cant just bolt something on & expect what the manufacturer says, its a case of mixing & matching components to get the best results...

so nothing is under say £300 then except maybe the viper induction kit! haha, best get saving!

do TB's give 50 bhp gain???

how much gain would you get separately f

from inlet?
unichip? how much for this too??
exhaust manifold?

cheers wayne :)

c16xe it is.

Depends, the older c16xe's seem to respond better than the slightly newer ones to the lexmaul/velos inlets. Will be a big noticable difference.

I wouldn't go for the cams tho, probably the inlet, unichip, exhasut manifold then some strengthening (apr conrods etc) then cam it, actually bin the inlet get some TB's (will cost about £2k tho :lol: )

will be probs 120+

broster has similar mods on his x16xe and he got 138bhp

get a new inlet manifold there around 500 pound plus, thn u cud think bout getting cams maybes 600 for the kit and a 4 branch and a full system exhaust, thn u cud think bout a remapped ECU

hello all,

ive currently got a 1.2i CORSA,

but in the next week or two ill will be dropping a GSI in it.

what i was wondering was, what would be the bets mods to do to get bhp gains and also, what are there prices?

ive been told that first thing i should do is to get a viper induction kit on it.........and seconly maybe a de-cat exhaust and then get it chipped!

is this the best order to do things??

if not, which way/order should i go?? and how much each thing going to cost?

thanks in advance for the help!

wayne :)
