Easiest way to see if the remote lead from your HU is fecked is to wack a multimeter across the remote lead and ground and see what you get - it should be 12V @ 500mA or so :) If you get nothing or its low then your HU is mashed, if its ok, then it will be the wiring <- as the amp works when the remote lead is connected to the power cable. :thumbs: edit - just checked that its the ignition. In which case, the amp will switch on when you turn the key. It will be fine, but i would still sort out the remote lead on the HU, as the amp will be taking power even when you have your HU switched off. [Edited on 12-04-2005 by Dom] | |
