I used a sissor jack on thefront ball joints to compress - hence i needed new ball joints!!!! LOL!!! Took me a mear office jocky 5hrs with a pair of pliers and plastic hammer!!!!!!!:lol::lol:

i was quoted 150 for springs and shocks.
buy a power wrench £30
spring comprsessors £30

save money, have some fun and get to keep them too :D

I do them for 60-70 all round, takes bout hour and a half - 2 hours, depends on how much i have had to drink the night before. thats including getting out my tools and swearing cos someone hasnt put back my 18mm spanner :P

btw, best thing to do

jack up car, remove the shock assembly, pop it to a garage with the new springs, 20 mins work - £20quid

refit the whole thing again urself

100+ is a rip off to fit springs

you could buy a set fitted for not much more than that

well most garages wherever you go will charge on average an hour a side for fronts and hour for the back so 3hrs @ 35 an hour (average round here)

just to fit..30 mins work or that......30-50 i would say.......no main dealers or that though...

DONT USE G CLAMPS YOU WILL DIE, borrow some spring compressors do it ya self, if ya lived closer i would pop round and do it for ya for a tenner and a cuppa tea

30 quid :! most garages round here wouldnt do one front one for that. looking more like 105 + vat round here

i got my springs 2day, just wondering how much does it roughly cost to get a garage to fit them? i would rather do it myself but aint got any spring compressors, could i use g clamps ?
