As for being sluggish untill 80mph... the car was either shagged, or you werent driving it hard enough (probably the first option as you already drive a jap tubby) they are literally blistering off the line in standard trim, as said, about 5.5 to 60mph... all points to the one you drove being a dog!! I have beaten an MR2 turbo in my old GTE 16v banger... but the car was running BADLY!! It revved up fine, but the boost didnt seem to be making it to the inlet... which lead to normal 2.0ltr N/A like power.... [/quote]
