well its going to be mp3 playback.... also use the inbuilt amp thingy on your alpine unit to make them sound better... go to your local ice place and see if they have a display :)

If your headunit is iPod ready, you'll want KCA-420i

looked into this before, if you have an Alpine unit then you are in luck.

http://www.alpine-europe.com/driveyouripod/UK/ipod_demo.htm

they do a unit you can buy that interfaces with your ipod and head unit, had a demo done for me and it looks alright.

Depends on the HU though.

Yeah I have a Blaupunkt head unit, has a cable with a headphone plug that goes straight into the iPod.

Just see if you can get an auxilliary input cable for your head unit?

mine isn't connedted directly to my h/u as my phono's from ps2 go into it for aux, but i bought an iTrip so i can use it anywhere with a radio. Playback quality isn't as good as cd but its a good buy at £30

Thinking of getting an ipod to connect up to my alpine headunit... what would be the best way of doing this. Also what sort of quality of playback would i get ive got a pretty good system and i wont bother buying one if you cant get really good quality playback.

Anyone got any thoughts on this:thumbs:
