I want a laptop like broster's - one with aliens in it.. but I'm too scared I'll need to upgrade it :(

Try upgrading it as well, or sitting at it for any length of time for that matter...

does 'onboard 5.1 channel sound mean i dont need a sound card?

yes especially if your using a SATA hard drive, u will need drivers off a floppy

floppy drives someitmes come in handy when things go wrong!

will any case fit everything, or do i need a specific case?

basicly i want to build my own, as it looks reasonably easy, ive done a bit before, fitting sound cars ect.

and no where stocks the sort of thing i want, im either paying loads for stuff i dont want/ need. or there isnt anything there thats right
