Went to fit the new light today and noticed there is no earth point comin from the mains... The light set is halogen and there is an earth on the light, so, i need an earth in the mains dont i or a new light lol???? | |

lol cheers people, Ill switch all the power off at the mains then... Although will need to wait till next weekend now so i can work at it with day light :( | |

turn the light on then find ur fuse box and flick them off till that light goes off, then work away. | |

If you're on an RCD just flip the circuit for the lights off. If you are on an older fuse box with individual fuses pull the one for the lights. At least you know that way the power is definately off. | |

Just take the fuse out of the light circuit or switch the power off | |

Do i need to switch all the electric off in the house or can I just switch the origional light of at the switch and then work away? |
