They can be networked through a wireless router i have.

I have 2 laptops and 3 desktops. One of the desktops is going because i need the space although i've been looking at a bigger place today :o  Don't think that is gonna hap though as i haven't really got the time. One desktop and one laptop is used to mess around with stuff on. I have desktop computer back at home (also connects to the wireless router, it's only next door) and one laptop and one desktop here is the flat which i do all my uni work etc on.

I'm doing Information Systems at uni so it's more theory based

Simple answer yes....

Easy to set up a small file server to save all documents, downloads, porn & music etc... depends what programs you want to run from the 1 machine though? as to whether you can do it or not....

though your studying IT at uni? :boggle: so you should already know this?
