You'll be travelling faster for the same reading but the reading is wrong anyway. If anything it just lessens the margin of error that the speedo has. You'd have to try very hard to make the speedo under-read.

there will be little difference , as the actual size from top to bottom will be very little difference due to lower profile tyres.

they allow 10% anyhow do the police so i would not worry about it

will be roughly the same size, as u will be going wider tyre, but lower profile.

would of expected them to be 195/40/16?

but yes you can fit them, they will have a larger rolling radius thus the speedo will be out further

i have 16" alloys with 195/45/16 just wondering if i could fit 205/40/16 ? or somthing else along those lines reason being i can get them cheaper.. so will it affect anything ie handling etc?
