well my 106 gti had the airbag light flashing constantly (was a common fault just a dirty sensor under the seat) and it passed the mot twice at two seperate garages

no, it only fails if the airbag light is on, its not compulsory to have an airbag, think about small cheap cars like kias and sports cars like tvrs and caterhams, they dont have airbags but need an MoT

if you remove the airbag, make sure you remove the airbag warning light bulb from the dash, or it will fail

or just remove the relay & fuse from the fuse box

I believe it does fail an mot if there is no Airbag fitted in a car after a certain date..

well mine never did not know if it was the garage that was thick.

Have the airbags disabled as i not meant to wear and seat belt and they could be dangerous

Does your car fail the MOT if you remove it and put a non-airbag steering wheel, out of interest?

Airbags are expensive mate, would leave if it, if its not causing any problem

On my Astra I have a leather steering wheel with an airbag (like on the Corsa GSi for example, not the Sport shape airbag wheel).

You know the bit in the middle with the Vauxhall logo, can that be replaced, or would I have to buy a brand new airbag steering wheel? :o
