yeh i knew about the gsi's with the x16xe just wondering what year the 1.6 sport was made for the corsa sport?

is yours up and running yet james??

no as soem gsi had x16xe in them, and the were stop being made in 96 i think

ah right, was the 1.6 produced from 1999 onwards on the facelift models only?
That explains why lee manning then put the tigra engine into the corsa!

That car is up for sale now im sure of it

Did the tigra 1.6 come out before the corsa 1.6 x16xe not the c16xe??

lee m not lee mitchell used to have a 1.6 out of a tigra in his gsi
now the guys in redlines (yellow one)

In the Astra F, the X14XE has a different inlet manifold and throttle body (and it doesn't have the same induction roar as with the Corsa engine when fitted with a cone filter or drilled airbox), and the 1.6 16v is the X16XEL - only 100bhp, not sure of the difference between the Corsa and Astra engines.

If i was u i would go for a 1.416v out of a corsa b or tigra as its a reasonably an easy job to do,,,, i do believe the astra engines where different

yup unless its the older model of sport astra which ive got which is 101 bhp but i think there was a slower 1.6 in the normal astra was like 90 bhp or something

Only Corsa C engines will fit easily into your Corsa C Munch

got a X reg corsa that needs a new engine...looking for a 1.4 or a 1.6 and ive found a few at scrappies.

will a 1995/1996 engine from an astra fit straight in?

what about driveshafts and engine mounts? advice please!
