what exactly is the probelm with the car can you explain in full details.

When it cuts out will it restart straight away? How does it cut etc. Sounds very like an astra problem a friend has!

i have had probs with my car over the last few days, basically it kept cutting out, but then it runs great!! vauxhall garage couldnt comunicate with my ECU at all!! so they said it could b a fault with the wiring or the ECU is knackered!!

Iaz gave me his ECU out of the jag this afternoon, which was a 1.4 16v like mine, would it work in my car if my ECU was knackered?? vauxhall said i had to buy a new one, bcoz they need programming and u cant de-code ones which have already been in use, and re-use them!!

do i need to buy a new ECU or can i use old ones:rolleyes: an explaination would help on this topic please,

cheers
