Yeah just swallow the cost and buy a dynamat bulk pack.

CAD also do a brown bread bulk buy 15 rolls for £150 i believe, but its not as good so u need to use more layers, so it wont actually do anymore than the dynamat pack will....

You'll need at least 3 layers of flashing tape to get anything close to STANDARD Dynamat let alone Dynamat Extreme!

If you're that bothered that you need to sound-deaden your car then go for something that will do the job not fill the car with random bitumen products from B&Q.

Why not try this  - trowel applied to you can get it into all the nooks and crannies in the doors.

Greg - you get this stuff called Brown Bread - its just like dynamat but i believe its a bit cheaper, dont know for sure.

kinda roofing felt,

The stuff you are on about is flashing tape,

Its not as good as dynamat extreme, you have to use like 3 layers of it at least to get it like dynamat extreme

and also its extremly messy to apply,

Expanding foam is good for filling gaps, however you need some sort of weight on the panel to get it dead before you just fill the gaps up,

Also one thing to be careful about with expanding foam, if you get it into a tight place, and you end up putting to much in you can start to bend panels!

From personal experiance you really are just getting dynamat extreme, its designed for the job, thus your not really going to get anything to do it,

Cheaper options are Brown bread, again designed for the job, however thinner then dynamat extreme thus will need more layers of it,

what sounddedening does everyone use, i know dynamat must be the most common, but its way too expensive.

heard of people using roofing felt stuff:boggle:

any cheeper options?
