i'm on windows xp professional. i managed to get in as administrator and change the password. thanks guys :thumbs: | |

windows xp doesnt use .pwl files to store its passwords, you must be using windows 98 | |

at work we do , nuke the files and removes all passwords thus gaining access , | |

boot up in safe mode and search for all *.pwl files and delete them , these are the passwords :) | |

Reboot into Safe Mode, and you get to choose the actual account called "Administrator", which has a blank password on XP Home. | |

not on xp. if u don't enter a password and it has been set it won't let u in. If i go in as a guest it won't let me do certain things cause the adminstator is on the other account | |

if its XP home, boot it into safe mode & the administrator acocunt will be shown in the user list (if not, press CTRL+ALT+DEL Twice)... | |

i've set a password on windows xp and i've forgotten it. is there a way i can hack in from the guest account? |
