LOL boy in work last night told me hes gonna drop his £1200 laptop down the stairs before long cause there is so many viruses on it, and claim on the house insurance :)

depends if you have accidental damage you pay excess (normally £50) they give you a new model. but then again it depends who you're insured with. most places do new for old but not everyone

if it is covered you will recieved a compartive model plus you'll pay whatever the standard excess is.

the other day i dropped a laptop down the stairs and smashed the screen, if i was to claim on the house insurance what would happen, as the laptop cost about 800quid 3-4 years ago, and is no longer made??
