I think someone should write some simples guides to go into the tutorial and faq section. Would save posts like this.

god know its gettin complicated. 2 channel amp - will be running it bridged for the single sub. but want the flexibilty to amp up my 6x9s when i take the sub out.

right getting there slowly! How many rca wires are there - these go into the pre out or whatever they called on the head unit i take it?

cable from battery is permanantly on - the remote wire switches the amp on when the head unit goes on

rca's carry the music signal from the head unit to the amp

on mine, i did the same as above, but ran power cables down one side of the car, and the other cables down the other side.

took a few hours for me to do it.

main power to amp straight from + on battary (fused as close to batt as possible)

remote wire running from head unit

find a good earth

rca's down other side of car

job done :)

lol well sorta helped me. I've never wired anything off a battery before, done 6x9s and head units so i'm not a complete novice though.

I know you'll all say use the search feature but I have and couldn't find the answers i wanted.

Basically gonna be wiring up an amp soon and wanted to check a few things.

1) whats the best arrangement to group the cables in to avoid interference etc.

2) How long should it take me roughly.

3) Any other advice/tips/links to help me?
