quote: There's one prob for a start? Doesn't your car make peak power about 5800 rpm. Thus whats the point of taking it to 6,500 in every gear? | |

a while back i had a race in my 1.4 sport wiv my mates pug 1.4 xr n it was pretty even till we had to stop. i was told on here that it would be pretty even in the early gears as 8v have more lower down torque but that when i got into third id pull away. however last night i raced him down this very straight road (wiv one extra person in my car) but i couldnt catch him, all the way up to 90mph it was even. took it to just over 6,500 revvs in each gear, just before the limiter. his cars completely standard. so why is this? cheers |
