got sharp 28" widescreen, shapr dvd player and vhs, got 5.1 for me pc just want it for movies

these days home entertainment set ups are increasingly based on computers. Thats what i've got going in my room - some creative surround sound speakers running of the motherboard. Using a video out connection you can watch dvds through ur telly.

what do i need to look for in a decent surround sound system for dvd etc, and generally what is needed
