i have had this problem with my 1.6 sport since there was 10000 miles on the clock, been back to vaux so many times for every part u can think of including a new engine and that makes a tickin noise aswell, i have come to conclude this ticking noise comes as standard with every ecotec engine... vaux tell me the warrenty file for my car is worth £7500 and still the ticking noise is there...

u sure its a tappet noise? do a oil change with so thicker oil (can not do no harm no matter what) and see if that sorts out the nosie
