Originally posted by Donna Corsa GSi I know my intercooler is off centre thats because to get the rad to fit in there we had to move it over to the right and as far forward as we could to fit it in front of the turbo. Therefore the intercooler sits over to the right slightly too but im happy with it seeing as we designed the intercooler from scratch and it fits perfectly apart from that. Its more noticable with the standard bumper that I hacked to pieces. With my other bumper the intercooler sits quite nicely in there and has the desired Grrrrrrr effect I was after ;) The intercooler was made by Pace (also another VERY helpful company I might add) With regards to cool air getting to the rad Im still having problem there with the new modifications to the bonnet and bumper so I think some more drastic measures will be in order before the cars ready for the road.
this is the smae problem I had with mine. the rad is moved over but teh boost pipe is almost touching it so it sits slightly off centre. Air flow through the engine bay will help as will getting flow tot he rad. maybe even a thicker one. if you are suffering from heat related issues particularly when boosting I suggest gettign a revotec fan controller http://www.raldes.co.uk ( under pacet) cost me £50 delivered next day. can set the fan to come on between 70-120C. mine is not fitted yet but friend who has it has no cooling problems. also think about putting a better fan on as well
