camber has been done, and tracking has been done by eye for now. I dropped the coilovers back down to a good height, and its going back to the garage on thurs to get the tracking done properly. Im ssssoooo pleased with my car now, but i wont be driving it till monday now cos im off out on the piss!:lol:

u shouldnt need to bring the wheels out, there probably et 40 so already uve got 5-9mm more than normal. Once you stop the wheels touching the coils by altering the camber on the coilovers you just need to get the tracking done at a garage

could i just fit some spacers to bring the wheels out a little bit?

Rubbing from coilovers can be due to having wide platforms. You can buy smaller platforms for most good coilovers.

Not sure if this is your problem though.

the only one that will actully fit the corsa hub is the 4x100 et 40 i think.

Mine are et 45 195/45 R16, but the tyers are huge, probably as wide as ur 205s.

On mine i loosened the top lower bolt, put the wheel back on, then just pushed the wheel in as close to the coilover as possible. Then take it to a garage to do the tracking/wheel alignment. I dont use spacers or remove the lower coil.

"Platinum 8 Alloy Wheels. Fitted with Brand New Premium Economy 205/40/17 Tyres. Price includes nuts or bolts. Fitments available 4x98 et35, et40, 4x100 et35, et40, 4x108 et35, et40, 4x114 et35. "

So im guessing whichever one of those that is best suited for a oorsa!

Are they just standard spacers that the garage could find and fit tomorrow? They got my locking wheel nut!

when i fitted coilovers with et45 alloys, had to put 3-4mm spaces on the front to clear the nut on the coilover :)

when i had mine done it was 1 degree out to the left, so they turned it another degree that way! had to have the wheel @ 9 o'clock to go in a straight line

I did  They took an hour getting it just right and only charged £20 :D

Your car shouldn't be on ramps to be tracked. Find a garage that isn't bloody lazy

My tracking was way out when I got my coilovers on. Caused the handling to be very very loose and that pulled from side to side.. was much tighter after the tracking was sorted, was a right bastard finding someone who would do tracking on a car so low though.

Depends how bad the problem is. You can alter the clearance on the top lower bolt but this will affect camber which is a bad thing for handling and tyre wear.

If you can't get enough clearance by altering the bolt you can replace or remove the helper spring and wind the height up a bit out of the way of the wheel.

You could also space your wheels, but I'd do this last.

The tracking is out because you've lowered it, this is not a problem to sort but wait until the camber is right.

As youi probably know, i fitted coilovers the other day to my corsa, but havent driven it till today and either the tracking is completely out and/or the coilovers themselves are rubbing againt the wheel causing the steering to go from side to side and snap out of my hands randomly, and a screeching noise like im skidding. (only drove it up the road and back). I remember someone saying in a post the other day that you might need to put spacers on - is this the case? Or can I just loosen the top bolt on the bottom of the strut, and realign the wheel like that?
