You thinking of getting the conversion done soon steve? My mate has built a kit car with C20XE and twin 45 webber carbs, and another mate is sticking one in a chevette this summer. We all have to go for a vauxhall power cruise round town

Or start to cry when they say, yea that'll be £3000... They might feel sorry for me  I'll say, oh no, what am I going to do? I'll have to put my 1.2 8v back in... That'll definately make them feel sorry for me!

Oh I'll do you one too if ya like then! Basically I got this really sexy Corsa, god custom paint, body and alloys on the outside. Full ICE system and custom interior that looks wel sexy and really nice engine in it, a 2.0 16v... Yea sure I'll take ya for a ride in it some time, Where do ya live? Anyways I'm 19 and it needs insuring, can you make me happy, cos I know I can make you ;)!

Think all Redtops are group 15. But if their not, say that one.

End of the day, its not really gonna make that much difference.

Every little counts :P:P

Also don't you mean what car the engine came out of ;)

lmfao, doh, yeah, thats the one. Be funny watching a car come out of an engine.

If you said that i'd suggest being more polite than calling her a kinky bitch, maybe "you have a sexy voice, you sound so slim..."

:P

Colin

Dont think so as you only tell them the engine code your putting in, not what its out of:look:

Does the donor car affect the 2.0 conversion quotes?

reason i ask is:

Derivative Year/Model Insurance Group

2.0 GSi 2000 16V 4d Cavalier Saloon (1988-1995) 13
2.0i SRi 16V Cat 4d Cavalier Saloon (1988-1995) 14
2.0i 16V 3d Calibra Coupe (1990-1998) 14
2.0i 16V DTM 3d Calibra Coupe (1990-1998) 16
2.0i 16V GTE 3d Astra Hatchback (1984-1992) 15

Whats so special about the caly dtm??

The gsi cavalier is two groups below the astra gte too, so wud it be cheaper to insure that rather than the astra engine??
