Ask the bloke for details of the type of repair the cars had, from wot you described its bodged( Bumpstrips not meating up!!) An AA check and HPI wont mean shit if its been bodged to look good, underneath itll still be damaged structural damage, suspension etc!

An AA test is an HPI check, it just checks most of the things that have happened in the past to the car...
But yea, an accident damaged ar is ok to buy as it was repaired. Evenbetter that it was repaired by the insurance company, cos they approve the repair workshops that do the work...

i bet 60%of the people on here have accident damaged/ repaired cars, you wont have a clue if ya cars been messed up in the past and fixed, could be a small bump to a major repair, as long as its fixed by a good company the results will be as good as when it came out the factory

Mine was involved in a crash before I bought it. The only thing I had was some slight bonnet damage where that pannel wasn't replaced. I have had no problems with mine at all, never broke down, and only had rust in the usual corsa places - B pillars and under the bonnet a tiny bit... If the car wan't written off there should be no probs with it. Do an HPI check to be safe.

Get an AA check if you want it but your unsure of the repairs.

I'm amazed at the honesty of this person, if it was repaied under insurance and wasn't written off they don't have to tell you about it

Been to look at a corsa sport 1.4 16v wiv 45,000 on the clock, and the guy at the garage sed it has been in a small accident and it had been insurance repaired. He said it was a knock on the drivers side rear wind which has been replaced and knocked the wheel a bit but has all been repaired. im unsure about this car as its very nice and i like it alot but dont know if the accident damage will affect the car in the long run andwhen i come to sell it , it will hinder the price. anyone else bought a repaired car.
