I've painted all my dash and all I did was sand it with 360's and then used fill primer. Then sanded it down with 800's wet and then painted over it with normal car paint.

filler primer is a primer! no need for anything else ontop of it. just flat the high build primer down so its totally smooth and theres no low spots in it then degrease it,then go over with your topcoat/clearcoat.

i'm not sure about spraying straight onto filler primer,
but it is worth just spraying plastic primer over the filler primer to be sure, its worth a fiver to secure a good finish!

just sand the plastic smoothish to get a key for primer, then add layers of filler primer and sand inbetween coats until its smooth.....

rub it down with sandpaper til its smooth, use the plastic primer, spray then lacquer after i think:thumbs:

use plastic primer, get it from halfords, so it clings to the plastic, also sand down the plastic panel smoothe if their is a grain on it

can spray onto the filler primer.....i been sanding texture off plastic, but been told u can smooth em with filler primer

making my door pods, and the pods r in plastic filler primer. do i just spray over them now? or get normal primer?

another question the plastic trim, how do u go about spraying them?? sand them down, til smooth? or just use filler primer over them as they r now?
