quote: you what? dual processor system is just that mate. One motherboard that has two processors :) And no, 600 quid for the whole system ;) A AMD 2800XP+ is 77 (inc Vat) quid from ebuyer, two of them will cost you 154 quid. Although if you after the processors that are designed for dual cpu system, then the overall cost will set you back loads. look at xeons in that case, but one 2.8gig intel xeon is 245 quid (inc VAT). The AMD range, MP's, will set you back a few bob cheaper, at 160 quid for a 2800 cpu :) like i said have a look on ebay, or build one youself. Dont buy one from a shop etc because they will rip you off even more than a normal desktop system :( also, i would recommend that you get a decent case if you are running duals, so have a look over at overclockers.co.uk :) Although be prepaired to spend about 70-100 quid for a case that will offer loads of cooling. Also, get the best fans you can afford too  [Edited on 25-03-2004 by VisibleMan]

quote: yea mate, build yourself one ;) will probably cost you about 600 quid if its an amd and about a grand if its a intel system. If you want one second hand, well have a look on ebay, but your gonna be pushed to be honest :( As for HD, i would recommend something bigger in this day and age, maybe 160gb or so. Although, get a small 10kRPM HD for OS's, software and a big 160GB for your files etc :) That way, stuff will load up quickly, yet you have plenty of space on the 160gig drive etc
