The emissions test will find out if your engine requires a CAT or not. | |

give them the engine number that should be proof enough | |

but some MOT testing stations require proof of the year of the engine. I have my MOT on Wednesday and theyre taking my work for it as to the year of the engine. | |

for anyone still unsure about the law regarding cats and the mot with the 2.0 conversion i phoned the ministry today and they said there NOT required. they take it by the year of the engine not the year of the car. |
