I have a fibreglass bonnet on the rally car. Competiton fibreglass bonnets are just as good quality as GM bonnets, but obviously much lighter in weight.

However aftermarket "bodykit/boyracer" fibreglass bonnets are utter crap quality and arent worth the money at all.

Stick with your GM bonnet.

Fibreglass bonnets dont crack as easily under the engine heat, like a vented steel bonet would. But normally a fibrglass bonnets are made so badly they just don't wanna know about fitting. Bad Boying a steel bonnet is fine. I would recomend venting and bad boying your oringinal bonnet and use a high quality bodyshop to do it. then put a heatshield under the bonnet.
