with fibreglass -= - i use - 100 grit - then 180 grit - then start on the wet and dry - 400-600 etc | |

use a 40grade disk on a power sander,wont take half as long! | |

im doin mine at moment.pack pods out the way u want them to fit then use expanding foam on them to fill the gaps.then just a matter of sand down skim of fibreglass then filler | |

mdf basing coverd in cheap b&q mesh for the shape, then fibreglass over the mesh then filler to smothen and maybe quick little sand and then spray or cover | |

if u wanna do it amazing and can get hold of it - do it in pre-preg carbon ( pricey at £26 sq.m) but worth every penny. Looks amazing and u get a pre-determined and pregnated amount of resin - not too much and not too little | |

no - I was wroking on mine today - Im using chop strand matt with a layer of bi-axial fibreglass matting, then finishing with 320gm/m2 chop strand, with a poly-ethene resin - then finishing in gel coat - only a small amount of filler to be used, and will use bare p40, maybe a bit of chop strand if its too big a gap | |

Yes DONt make them a big block of filler lol, use fibreglass and just filler to help you get it perfect smooth. | |

a slight skim of filler over the top should be used to level any imperfections and allow a smoother finish | |

well i have been making some door pods, and started using fibre glass to get some of the shape, but i have found it easier using filler, is this wise?? or will it crack?? |
