no, the car that the engine came out of had a/c but i havent so took a/c pump off, but the mounts or something are different if u dnt have air con so ive either gotta just bolt the pump on and run the fan belt round or buy a new bracket thing from vaux

cant get a fan belt to fit without the a/c pump unless i get a new bracket for the P/S pump from vaux which is gonna cost a fair bit

ahh right might loose a tiny bit of power but nothing major.can you not just unbolt the lot? or is that a pain in the arse

it wont as the air con wont be engaged so it will just spin like a pulley

Darren

litterally just the fan belt going round the pulley bit. nothing else connected.

Can you just confirm that if the pump is not connected, it isnt going to drain power from the engine??

Thanks
