Originally posted by Donna Corsa GSi There isn't a wrong or right answer really about what gear box to use. You can use either with the LET conversion. At the end of the day you do what you want to do and what you can afford to do. I was always lead to believe that the F28 was better because it doesn't cause the engine to be revved so high which isn't good for the turbo but then I could be talking bollox cause I don't really know  so you're more then welcome to tell me im wrong  The majority of conversions I have seen an F20 has been used. And as for whether the engines should be re-conditioned. Surely this is advisable whenever you put an old engine into your car. Its obviously better to change what you can while the engine out the car and parts are easily accessible and then when the engine goes in you should have a nice sweet running engine. But again if you can't afford to go down that route you can just replace things as they go wrong. This site is good for advice but I would never do what people tell me to do, I would do what I thought was the right thing to do. [Edited on 06-02-2004 by Donna Corsa GSi]
