lol my subs have a 10" magnet lol last time i used these they split 18mm

I Need To Strengthen My MDF Box. Its Currently 18mm Thick, But I've Been Told To Strengthen The Wood By Applying Wood Resin Or Some Kind Of Foam
Any Views And Advise Please
