ive got 1.4 16v sport and its not that fast i would go for 1.6 16v they are in tigra' 1.4 &16 they put the corsa sport engine ine the tigra's so get looking try ebay???
1.4 x14xe does 10 sec 0 to 6omph
1.6 x16xe does 9 sec 0 to 60mph that is a big differance because when your racing a saxo vtr lol

dont bother with a 1.6 in it mate try a 1.4 16v because the 1.6 engines a hard to get hold of at the right price with a low milage and the wrinig would take ages to

you'll need to do brakes to at least gsi spec

you can put a 1.6 in, and tune it up to 2l standard with the rest of the money that a valver would cost.

it will hadle better, and insurance will be loads cheeper

Insurance at 21 isn't that bad... What is the max u'd be willing to pay?

Greg_M

posted on 25th Jan 04 at 12:02

its cost no where ner the 2l conversion.

lee mitchel quoted me £700 to put a 1.6 16v in my 12v, and its 1500 for a valver

it will cost the same to put a 2.0 in mate, I'd go for that!
